No joy and no points against FC Elmstead

In our second home game in a row Meridian VP entertained FC Elmstead who remain in the promotion chase after coming from behind to beat Meridian VP 3-1. MVP took an early lead through debutant Athan Smith-Joseph but their advantage didn't last long as Jordan Anderson quickly restored parity. He then gave his side the lead before Tobi Coker confirmed the points in the 75th minute.

Assistant manager Sean Boothe stated after the game: “After making my debut today, I can never understand how players walk away from the game. The Buzz I still got after so many years is unreal. I can’t fault the players efforts today. The second Sin bin killed us but encouraging signs for the rest of the season.”
