A Very Poignant Day.

This was a day of great sadness as football took a back seat on the day of tragic news received by Meridian FC from our honourable visitors Sutton Athletic Football Club.

The chairman and all at Meridian Football Club wish to pass on our sincere condolences to the family of Mr & Mrs Bevan for their tragic lost and our thoughts and prayers are with them.

It must be stated that all participants from Meridian FC & Sutton Athletic FC carried out a tremendous mark of respect by all wearing black arm bands in the memory of Lewis Bevan.

This fixture was a very competitive and hard fought game where credit must be given to all players & management involved on this difficult day.
