Not The Order Of The Day!

After the disappointment of Meridian’s last game the management expected a better performance today against top of the league opposition Bly Spartans FC.

Meridian started well enough trying to pass the ball after a shake-up of the team from Tuesday night.

The opposition looked a little wary at first but soon got into their stride with two quick succession goals following mistakes from Meridian team.

The second half another three goals were added to add insult into today’s result.

Bly were just coasting as Meridian players did not mentally arrive at the game today it was not the performance the management were looking for.

It is best left alone today that Meridian lost 5-0 with the highlight of good performances from Conor Brown & saves from goalkeeper Dave Hall.

Whether it was tiredness or to many games in a short time period, it is safe to say an inquest into today’s performance will be carried out with the players not competing or had the right attitude and mental strength.

Congratulations to Bly Spartans as this performance will definitely wake a few players up!
