MVP found themselves 3-0 down after only 30 minutes of play as we struggled to combat Snodlands direct style of play countered by the windy conditions. Defensive lapses being the main contributor to these early strikes. Then we were down to 10 men following the dismissal of Mulholland. However, this galvanised the boys in sky blue and we managed to get a goal back in the 38th minute when Nat Ward slotted home after a goodoverlapping run down the right hand side.
HT Snodland Town 3 MVP 1
MVP came out with far more purpose jn the second half and started to press their opponents far better.
Our endeavours earned us a penalty when Lamarl Hubbard was upended in the box. Chris McGinty doing the honours for 3-2. MVP continued to toil away but fell further behind when Snodland broke through and claimed their fourth goal.
As the game drew to an end MVP won another penalty when Dominic Elmes was fouled in the box. McGinty again slotting home.
Unfortunately time was against us and the whistle was blown for full time.
