An entertaining game with loads of goal scoring opportunities. However it was MVP who won the day with an early strike from Ryan Minott giving us the lead in the first 4 minutes with a low crisp drive. We continued to pepper the home goal and but for the heroics of the keeper the goal tally would have been far higher.
McGinty, Hubbard & Elms having the best of them. Crocks did have a good spell near the end of the half but Ashton in the MVP goal produced a good save and later on their big striker when through one on one fired over.
Due to the extreme heat both teams decided to stay out for the half time team talk and it much the same vein MVP on the front foot.
Our second came when Chris Johnson was put through his finish cool and collected in the afternoon heat. Johnson soon collected his second and MVP’s third when he was found by the electric Hubbard's run down the right, ball centred for “Jockey” to side foot home. MVP could and should have added to their total but for more heroics in the Crocks goal.
Our most notable when Elms was unmarked in the box a low cross came in he met the ball only for their keeper to save well.
