MVP DID NOT EVEN GET OFF FERRY FOR THIS ONE !!!

It turned out a very bad day for MVP as we travelled over to high flying Sheppey United. We were to suffer a very heavy defeat indeed.

This will be a brief report so straight into the action…

After we forced a corner in the first 20 seconds of the game MVP were under the cosh for the next 89 minutes with some brief flirtations with the Ite’s goal.

Babington almost scored with their first attack as he somehow flopped a chance from some 6 yards out. This an indication of things to come!!! Sheppey got their first through Adjei who finished well after being slotted through by Batten. Sheppey extended their lead with a carbon copy type move this time it was Abe who slotted home for no 2. Sheppey kept peppering the MVP goal and Lee Kidman in fairness made some terrific saves. One from Babington that he tipped over was particularly good. MVP managed to get in only 2-0 down at the break.

Sheppey came out all guns blazing and really went at a shaky MVP backline and were soon to increase their lead when Williams pounced from close range following a scuffed clearance. Number 4 came in similar circumstances as the impressive Adjei again finished well unchallenged. No 5 arrived at the feet of the prolific Constable who had come on some 5 minutes earlier he tucked the ball away into the right hand corner again given the freedom of Holm Park. Constable again with his second and the Ite’s 6th with a far post finish following an Adjei run and cross in from the left..7 Constable notched his hat trick with a looping header that went over Kidman and crept in..In the final seconds Babbington who had raided down the MVP right menacingly all afternoon was put through to get the final goal.
MVP did have a go in the second half but we capitulated in the final minutes as Sheppey had a field day.

FT Sheppey 8 MVP 0

This game consigned to the memory banks with the delete button firmly pushed.

Lee Kidman MOM he made some terrific saves to try and stem the tide…

Next up we have a difficult home game against Bearsted. Perfect for us to show some bouncebackability!!!
